Clube de Regatas Perebas's Dino Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilson Vieira in the 15th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Arraias's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Simão came free, but Valdir Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eugênio Vasconcelos's late challenge caught a Arraias's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugênio Vasconcelos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Clube de Regatas Perebas getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Waldir de Amaral hit a great ball. Gilson Vieira struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Dino Rosado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arraias. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Jairo Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube de Regatas Perebas's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Simão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdir Terra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilvan Valadares got in the 29th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Valdir Terra handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After 32 played minutes Arraias got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Soares. Clube de Regatas Perebas's Diamantino Simões couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Arraias. Arraias's Valdir Terra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilvan Valadares in the 35th minute of play. Valdir Terra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Gugu Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Clube de Regatas Perebas's Afonso Teixeira got a free kick in the 41st minute. 43 minutes into the match, Gugu Mendonça notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Clube de Regatas Perebas's Dino Rosado. Dino Rosado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Valdir Terra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilvan Valadares in the 55th minute of play. Waldir de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gugu Mendonça scored 2-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dino Rosado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arraias's Rubens Meira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Clube de Regatas Perebas. A collision led to Clube de Regatas Perebas getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Waldir de Amaral hit a great ball. Clube de Regatas Perebas's Jairo Simão was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 85th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Clube de Regatas Perebas's Gilvan Valadares slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valdir Terra. That made the score 2-3 after 90 minutes of play. Valdir Terra was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jairo Simão showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 97 minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Clube de Regatas Perebas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
