When Anderson Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Dallas SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anderson Mendonça couldn't finish the play. If Chiquinho Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd match minute, Dallas SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Maciel to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute Lauro Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When João Francisco Baptista fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Padilha's protests and gave João Francisco Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute of the match Vladimir Ramalho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renatinho Moura showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anderson Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Padilha getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Osmar de Godoi hit a great ball. If Chiquinho Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Anderson Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lauro Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The corner ended in Vladimir Ramalho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Padilha's Renatinho Moura did a great save. João Francisco Baptista took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastião Vergílio. Sebastião Vergílio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Sebastião Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osmar de Godoi in the 96th minute of the match.
