In the 4th minute, André Luiz Maciel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cafu Paes in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Murilo de Almeida saved Taiacupeba EC from getting behind. In the 12th minute, Renato Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Dedê Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cafu Paes in the 18th minute of play forced Taiacupeba EC's goalkeeper Murilo de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unidos do Morro FC's Edgardo Lekubegi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesinha Mota in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cafu Paes in the 22nd minute of play forced Taiacupeba EC's goalkeeper Murilo de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Unidos do Morro FC's Cafu Paes in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Taiacupeba EC's goalie prevented a goal. Unidos do Morro FC were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Taiacupeba EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Davi Rosa took the corner. Cido Mattos hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Davi Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murilo de Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cafu Paes's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Murilo de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafu Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Renato Gerber made a precise shot to the right of Murilo de Almeida. Taiacupeba EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Cafu Paes came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Unidos do Morro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cafu Paes couldn't finish the play. André Luiz Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Edgardo Lekubegi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kuzey Tanpınar in the 42nd minute of play forced Taiacupeba EC's goalkeeper Murilo de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Unidos do Morro FC's goalkeeper Edgardo Lekubegi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Cafu Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unidos do Morro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cafu Paes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Murilo de Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 48 minutes into the match, Taiacupeba EC's André Luiz Maciel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgardo Lekubegi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Taiacupeba EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Unidos do Morro FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cesinha Mota stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Unidos do Morro FC booed when Taiacupeba EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Vasconcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-2 became the score in the 54th minute when André Luiz Maciel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Carlinhos Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Kuzey Tanpınar might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Murilo de Almeida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kuzey Tanpınar ran back to his position shaking his head. If Renato Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Murilo de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cafu Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. With his leg Murilo de Almeida managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Unidos do Morro FC's Cafu Paes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The attack was good, but when Cafu Paes in the 67th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Kuzey Tanpınar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabinho Lopes hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesinha Mota in the 78th minute of play forced Unidos do Morro FC's goalkeeper Edgardo Lekubegi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cafu Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Murilo de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Carlinhos Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cafu Paes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cido Mattos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Murilo de Almeida. Taiacupeba EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Murilo de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cafu Paes in the 91st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kuzey Tanpınar got free with Murilo de Almeida in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edgardo Lekubegi came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Taiacupeba EC's Cesinha Mota. But to his dismay, Cesinha Mota quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Davi Rosa hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Maurinho Pena, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Unidos do Morro FC played a much better game than Taiacupeba EC and deserved their victory. The Taiacupeba EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
