The referee showed Mario Bros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 39 minutes, Toninho Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Adelino Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Albuquerque in the 93rd minute. Mario Bros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Adelino Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Barões da Peladinha eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
