After having played for 17 minutes, Cauã Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LEMORES FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cauã Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Júlio Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Elder Tande was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LEMORES FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guerrilha the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in LEMORES FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! A collision led to Guerrilha getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Rafa Vieira hit a great ball. Ramiro de Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cauã Borges in the 35th minute of the match. Cauã Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Gabriel Barreto in the 43rd minute of play forced Guerrilha's goalkeeper Ramiro de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Cauã Borges had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramiro de Sousa. Guerrilha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cauã Borges was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Guerrilha players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. LEMORES FC were winning 1-2.

Serginho Barreto charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Serginho Barreto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of LEMORES FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Guerrilha:s goal. The referee gave Guerrilha a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. It was a penalty for LEMORES FC! Nilmar de Salles walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 66th minute, Guerrilha's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luís Antunes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Tiago Gabriel Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro de Sousa having to interfere.
