Pedro Augusto Coelho struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Noel Freire didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FlaCandango. After a rather tough play, Tomasia's Dito Botelho got a free kick in the 6th minute. Romeu Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Noel Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dito Carvalho in the 17th minute of play. Noel Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dito Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute Váldson Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hermínio de Sousa during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 28 minutes into the game, one of Tomasia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. FlaCandango were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Tomasia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alberto Madureira took the corner. Armandinho Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Noel Freire came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by FlaCandango's Dito Carvalho. But to his dismay, Dito Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 48th match minute, Tomasia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Tomasia's zone, Alberto Madureira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noel Freire came out of the goal and Alberto Madureira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Tostão Severo's late challenge caught a FlaCandango's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tostão Severo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Tostão Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute Dito Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Tomasia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tostão Severo to maneuver through the defense. After 63 played minutes Tomasia got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Toledo. FlaCandango's Michel Campidelis got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FlaCandango's Armandinho Correia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save FlaCandango from getting a goal against them. Tomasia's Fábio Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Campidelis in the 79th minute of play forced Tomasia's goalkeeper Noel Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Michel Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FlaCandango's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michel Campidelis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Dito Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renato Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Armandinho Correia having to make a save. In the 97th minute, Benjamin Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FlaCandango's Alberto Madureira got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FlaCandango fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tomasia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
