Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Frederico Ramos kicked off to start the match. BYU Cougars ®'s Umberto Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Ramos in the 3rd minute of play. Renan Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Umberto Correia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Renan Mendonça ran back to his position shaking his head. Frederico Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renan Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renan Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umberto Correia having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Ibitura's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo dos Santos came free, but Wilton Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Renan Mendonça fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Umberto Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The supporters of BYU Cougars ® booed when Ibitura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilton Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo dos Santos in the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of BYU Cougars ® booed when Ibitura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rodriguinho Branco came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the BYU Cougars ® fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodriguinho Branco couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Frederico Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibitura's supporters rose to their feet, but Frederico Ramos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Umberto Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frederico Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umberto Correia having to interfere. Umberto Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico Ramos in the 44th minute of the match. A collision led to BYU Cougars ® getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Angelo Messias hit a great ball. Umberto Correia made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Renan Mendonça sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Ibitura's Frederico Ramos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Umberto Correia. That made the score 2-0 after 47 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodriguinho Branco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodriguinho Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Ramos in the 65th minute of play forced BYU Cougars ®'s goalkeeper Umberto Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Renan Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Renan Mendonça's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Umberto Correia was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Frederico Ramos sped through BYU Cougars ®'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Umberto Correia. Alfredo dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 82 played minutes Ibitura got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Augusto Gaspar. 85 minutes into the game, Alfredo dos Santos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Wilton Branco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 88th minute of the match Jonas Sarmento sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilton Branco skillfully saved the ball. In the 97th minute Frederico Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Umberto Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodriguinho Branco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilton Branco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Ibitura players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
