Blitzkrieg's Luiz Eduardo Teles got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Mendonça in the 23rd minute of play forced BYU Cougars ®'s goalkeeper Umberto Correia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Eduardo Teless short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Umberto Correia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of C.R. Blitzkrieg booed when BYU Cougars ® was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.R. Blitzkrieg fans cheered their team off the field, for while BYU Cougars ® had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
