A beautiful save bye Neves FC's goalie prevented a goal. When Didi Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Neves FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Didi Domingues couldn't finish the play. If Didi Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Gilvan Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Gilvan Mandrak kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Frédson Linares. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. Frédson Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute, Neves FC's Valdemar Guerra seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Valdemar Guerra the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Neves FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Valdemar Guerra had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. If Norberto Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norberto Favoretto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Norberto Favoretto to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Gilvan Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Neves FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilvan Mandrak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frédson Linares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luizão Trancoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Alfredo Marques made a huge save. Frédson Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Norberto Favoretto struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Alfredo Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for War Dragon FC. Percival Sá hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Alfredo Marques made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Luizão Trancoso sent off a good shot on target. Glauco Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of War Dragon FC booed when Neves FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luizão Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 92 minutes into the match, Luizão Trancoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredo Marques. Neves FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luizão Trancoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 97th minute, Percival Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Neves FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching War Dragon FC's performance. The match ended with a win for War Dragon FC.
