Cauã Rosado's late challenge caught a Fazenda Rio Grande FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cauã Rosado helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Fazenda Rio Grande FC. Iuri Antunes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cássio Lima. 0-3. Frank Lucas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cássio Lima having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Taguariaiva SC's goalkeeper Cássio Lima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Taguariaiva SC's Alfredão Bittencourt got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Frank Lucas struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Cássio Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fazenda Rio Grande FC. Frank Lucas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 97 minutes, Cássio Lima successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fazenda Rio Grande FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
