Wawrzyniec Madej showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Vargas, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Ivo Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute Anderson Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wawrzyniec Madej saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wawrzyniec Madej didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Carioca went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Téo da Silva fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coadi's protests and gave Téo da Silva a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes Coadi got a freekick which was hit by Téo da Silva. Francisco Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wawrzyniec Madej having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Bangu Atletic Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Neiva to maneuver through the defense. Coadi's Edgar da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgar da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deivid de Salles having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgar da Costa to make the kick off. Frank Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wawrzyniec Madej having to interfere. Edgar da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Coadi's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Francisco Carioca 60 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Deivid de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Fantini in the 65th minute of play. If Ivo Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute Edgar da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deivid de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anderson Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 played minutes Coadi got a freekick which was hit by Téo da Silva. In the 90th minute of the match Roger Cordeiro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wawrzyniec Madej showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Anderson Vargas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
