After a defensive mix-up in Imaculada AD's zone, Anderson Vargas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edson Amorim came out of the goal and Anderson Vargas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th match minute, Imaculada AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Hermes to maneuver through the defense. Luan Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Deivid de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Bangu Atletic Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Deivid de Salles should have stopped the shot. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. There was no doubt that Bangu Atletic Club were the better team. Bangu Atletic Club's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
