Francisco Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Júlio Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Macarani getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Guga Pitta hit a great ball. Anderson Vargas struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Júlio Ceresso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bangu Atletic Club. The supporters of Bangu Atletic Club booed when Macarani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guga Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Macarani's Júlio Ceresso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Macarani from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Macarani getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Edvaldo Zonta hit a great ball. The Macarani fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Bangu Atletic Club were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
