Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Eliseu Corrêa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Fabiano Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Corrêa in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir Pombal in the 6th minute of play forced Real Cruz's goalkeeper Fabiano Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laerte Paranaense's late challenge caught a Real Cruz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Laerte Paranaense helped the player get up and apologised. Real Cruz's Osvaldo Hames was substituted for Alex Pena. In the 12th minute, Laerte Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogério Lara shot from long distance in the 13th minute, but Maurício Diniz was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After 22 minutes, Rui Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fottoni and the Real Cruz players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rui Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Valdir Pombal notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Real Cruz's Fabiano Vieira. Fabiano Vieira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 53rd minute, Bernardinho Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Real Cruz's Bernardinho Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Fottoni's zone, Bernardinho Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurício Diniz came out of the goal and Bernardinho Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bernardinho Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 60 minutes, Osvaldo Hames managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Cruz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Hames was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute Eliseu Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Cruz were furious when Luís Fernando Arce was red carded, 69 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 68 minutes into the game, one of Real Cruz:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a little luck, Real Cruz's Fabiano Vieira got control of the ball when Cícero Lara tried to sneak it across the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Laerte Paranaense threw the ball into play from the sideline. Real Cruz's Rafa Paraibano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Real Cruz's Bernardinho Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabiano Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseu Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fottoni's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
