Evandro Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarcisio Montenegro having to interfere. The Demons's Tarcisio Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Salgado in the 29th minute of play. When Gilberto Bueno came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the JcUchih fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilberto Bueno couldn't finish the play. Thomás Gerber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Lira in the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Lira in the 36th minute of play forced JcUchih's goalkeeper Thomás Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Virgílio Lira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thomás Gerber was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After the first half The Demons were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilberto Bueno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Bueno in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tarcisio Montenegro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Evandro Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Tarcisio Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in The Demons's zone, Gilberto Bueno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tarcisio Montenegro came out of the goal and Gilberto Bueno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Lucas Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot. JcUchih's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Rezende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tarcisio Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of JcUchih booed when The Demons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fernando Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseu Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle went the supporters of The Demons were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant JcUchih side.
