An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Furlan in the 32nd minute of play forced Acarai's goalkeeper Paulinho Urbano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldinho Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Gildo Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
