Santo Agostinho's José Vítor Diniz got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caetano Coutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Roberto Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If José Vítor Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Naldo Nóbrega hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, André Luiz Loyola fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 24 minutes, Mauro Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piratiny SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Piratiny SC's Juvenal Brasil got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Piratiny SC's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Coutinho came free, but Roberto Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto Lago came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Santo Agostinho's José Vítor Diniz. But to his dismay, José Vítor Diniz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Caetano Coutinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roberto Lago having to make a save. The Piratiny SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Santo Agostinho were winning 0-2.

Thanks to some nice moves Caetano Coutinho could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Roberto Lago however easily saved by the left post. Santo Agostinho's Álvaro do Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Brasil in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Santo Agostinho's José Vítor Diniz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geovânio Godoi during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Geovânio Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santo Agostinho's Álvaro do Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal Brasil in the 64th minute of play. João Paulo Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Santo Agostinho's zone, André Luiz Loyola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Álvaro do Nascimento came out of the goal and André Luiz Loyola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caetano Coutinhos short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Roberto Lago to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mauro Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro do Nascimento having to interfere. Álvaro do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juvenal Brasil in the 75th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juvenal Brasil in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Álvaro do Nascimento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Vítor Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Roberto Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roberto Lago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caetano Coutinho in the 79th minute. Caetano Coutinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Roberto Lago made a huge save. In the 81st minute, Caetano Coutinho made a precise shot to the right of Roberto Lago. Piratiny SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Santo Agostinho's zone, Mauro Lopez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Álvaro do Nascimento came out of the goal and Mauro Lopez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Álvaro do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juvenal Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Piratiny SC's Roberto Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Diniz in the 90th minute of play. The supporters of Santo Agostinho booed when Piratiny SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovânio Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Caetano Coutinho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roberto Lago, 0-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdo Nunes during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Caetano Coutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santo Agostinho's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
