With his leg Marcus Cerezo managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Saracura's Abelardo Sarmento fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 29 minutes of play, GORDUCHINHA F.C.'s Erik de Alcântara made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuel Lara was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Abelardo Sarmento came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Saracura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abelardo Sarmento couldn't finish the play. After the first half GORDUCHINHA F.C. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
