In the 19th minute, Rafinha Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abelardo Sarmento succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Josué Koehler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo de Andrade in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, S.C SKZ GAB's Amílton Mattos got a free kick in the 38th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonçalo de Andrade was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, S.C SKZ GAB's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abelardo Sarmento fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 56 minutes into the match, Saracura's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Favoretto came free, but Emanuel Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saracura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Sarmento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abelardo Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Josué Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Gonçalo de Andrade fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Josué Koehler was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Gonçalo de Andrade capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gonçalo de Andrade really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3.
