In the 8th minute Téo Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Saracura's Luís Paulo Ferreira threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gilmar Tavares, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 14 minutes into the match, Lhoraca's goalkeeper Luís Paulo Ferreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abelardo Sarmento. The supporters of Saracura booed when Lhoraca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 played minutes Lhoraca got a freekick which was hit by Naldo Miranda. Téo Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute Gonçalo de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo Ferreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Paulo Ferreira made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Abelardo Sarmento sent off a good shot on target. Luís Paulo Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo de Andrade in the 32nd minute of play. Luís Paulo Ferreira came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Saracura's Gilmar Tavares. But to his dismay, Gilmar Tavares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Téo Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Lara having to interfere. In the 45th minute Téo Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naldo Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Téo Travassos to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Lhoraca's Luiz Eduardo Braga got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Luís Paulo Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Téo Travassos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Naldo Miranda received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emanuel Lara came out and tried to block the shot, but Naldo Miranda slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 61st minute. After having played for 65 minutes, Téo Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lhoraca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Téo Travassos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Naldo Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lhoraca's supporters rose to their feet, but Naldo Miranda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Travassos in the 69th minute of play forced Saracura's goalkeeper Emanuel Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Paulo Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Sarmento in the 72nd minute of the match. The supporters of Saracura booed when Lhoraca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Acácio Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Germano Brasil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gonçalo de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Paulo Ferreira having to interfere. Saracura's Emanuel Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Saracura from getting a goal against them. After 91 minutes, Téo Travassos made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Saracura's Emanuel Lara tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 95 minutes, Téo Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lhoraca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Téo Travassos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Lhoraca players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
