Spectators: 7054 (Terracing: 5384, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Claudinho Aguiar started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Claudinho Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lucas Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the game, Cipriano Tinoco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coqueiros's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ghost EC the free kick. Júlio Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Júlio Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24thth minute of the game Claudinho Aguiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coqueiros's Giuseppe Braga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute, Márcio Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Ghost EC's zone, Lucas Arósio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gernando Brasil came out of the goal and Lucas Arósio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silas Carvalho might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gernando Brasil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silas Carvalho ran back to his position shaking his head. If Lucas Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júlio Guimarães in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giuseppe Braga saved Coqueiros from getting behind. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silas Carvalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Coqueiros booed when Ghost EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodrigo Cardoso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gernando Brasil. Ghost EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 58th minute of the match, Claudinho Aguiar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Giuseppe Braga saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Giuseppe Braga was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Claudinho Aguiar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Claudinho Aguiar really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Júlio Xavier's late challenge caught a Ghost EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júlio Xavier helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Coqueiros's Júlio Xavier got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When Claudinho Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ghost EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Aguiar couldn't finish the play. After 69th play minutes Claudinho Aguiar shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Giuseppe Braga and just under the crossbar into goal. After 72 minutes, Rubens Berger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ghost EC and the Coqueiros players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, Ghost EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens Berger to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute of the match Rodrigo Cardoso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gernando Brasil showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ernesto Cabral charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernesto Cabral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 74 played minutes Ghost EC got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Cabral. Lucas Arósio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucas Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Silas Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Gernando Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Coqueiros's Lucas Arósio got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Claudinho Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Ghost EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Aguiar couldn't finish the play. Claudinho Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rubens Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giuseppe Braga having to interfere. If Júlio Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ghost EC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
