Filipe Nóbrega's late challenge caught a Guarapuava EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Nóbrega helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Deadpool FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Filipe Nóbrega hit a great ball. Tião Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Cristian Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clemente Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Maia having to interfere. A collision led to Deadpool FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Giuseppe Andrade hit a great ball. Gabriel Brasil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Cristian Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guarapuava EC's Cristian Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Andrade in the 22nd minute of play. Guarapuava EC's Clemente Teles got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 26 minutes, Wesley Macedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guarapuava EC and the Deadpool FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristian Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Tião Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, Ricardinho Xavier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe Andrade in the 45th minute of play. If Ricardinho Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giuseppe Andrade to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Giuseppe Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Deadpool FC booed when Guarapuava EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivélton Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 played minutes Deadpool FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Gonçalves. Giuseppe Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Arruda having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Tião Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristian Arruda. Guarapuava EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tião Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Deadpool FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Clemente Teles scored to the left of an out of position Alan Maia, making the score, 1-2. 78 minutes into the match, Guarapuava EC's Ricardinho Xavier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alan Maia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Walmir Sanches walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clemente Teles got free with Alan Maia in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, João Vítor Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guarapuava EC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Vítor Urbano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alan Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
