Gil Varela who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Albertino Amaral when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Waldemar Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Décio de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Seco having to interfere. In the 48thth minute of the game Waldemar Brodel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Filadélfia FC's Albertino Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Waldemar Brodel to strike the kick off in the second half. Filadélfia FC's Marcus Freitas couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Jaraaua. Chico Correia was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gil Varela in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albertino Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Waldemar Brodel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
