With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexey Gyonev in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fellipe Lopes saved WBYRNE from getting behind. Rui Pires's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mikolaj Kaszubowski firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 9 played minutes Aracruz got a freekick which was hit by Adilson Magalhães. 12 minutes into the game, Alexey Gyonev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Fellipe Lopes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 17 minutes, Rui Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. WBYRNE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21st play minutes Bruno Guimarães shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Fellipe Lopes and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 25thth minute of the game Alexey Gyonev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but WBYRNE's Fellipe Lopes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alexey Gyonev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Romário de Medeiros fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aracruz's protests and gave Romário de Medeiros a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Aracruz getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Romário de Medeiros hit a great ball. After 38 minutes of play, Aracruz's Alexey Gyonev made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fellipe Lopes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fellipe Lopes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexey Gyonev's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexey Gyonev in the 44th minute of play forced WBYRNE's goalkeeper Fellipe Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Paulo Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The Aracruz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. The audience was convinced that Alexey Gyonev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fellipe Lopes was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Aracruz defense, Rui Pires kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mikolaj Kaszubowski. The supporters of Aracruz booed when WBYRNE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percy Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aracruz's Alexey Gyonev was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 76th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 79th match minute, WBYRNE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy Peres to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Carlos Augusto Goiano in the 80th minute really tested Fellipe Lopes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Fellipe Lopes made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Luiz Paulo Urbano sent off a good shot on target. Fellipe Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexey Gyonev in the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Aracruz's Bruno Guimarães ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fellipe Lopes. Fellipe Lopes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. Geovani Britto's late challenge caught a WBYRNE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geovani Britto helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Aracruz's Geovani Britto got a free kick in the 91st minute. Benedito Custódio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Aracruz's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
