The supporters of Golfos booed when Drycer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráusio Passos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute of the match Silvério Couto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Breno Seco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Alberto de Sousa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golfos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Drycer the free kick. In the 27th minute, Alberto de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredão Rodrigues in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Breno Seco saved Drycer from getting behind. In the 33rd match minute, Golfos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Eduardo Monteiro having to interfere. When Alfredão Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Golfos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredão Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. Drycer's Breno Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredão Rodrigues in the 41st minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfredão Rodrigues made a kick off. Drycer's Waldir Faria managed to work through Golfos's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Waldir Faria dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 55 minutes into the match, Drycer's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredão Rodrigues came free, but Breno Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Drycer booed when Golfos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Carlos Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute of the match Vágner Rodrigues shot from a long distance. Golfos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredão Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Breno Seco made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Patrick Botelho sent off a good shot on target. Alfredão Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Breno Seco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredão Rodrigues in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Breno Seco saved Drycer from getting behind. Patrick Botelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
