The Interiorano Só Futebol fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walmir Mangueira should have stopped the shot. Claudinei Souto hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Luukas Lefevre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Walmir Mangueira was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Walmir Mangueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. During the 85th minute of the match José Carlos Paranaense completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave José Carlos Paranaense a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. José Carlos Paranaense hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Walmir Mangueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luukas Lefevre in the 88th minute of play. If Sílvio Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
