Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ricardo Guimarães started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Patrick de Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deng Yang Ping having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Desengano's Cristóvão Sampaio got a free kick in the 11th minute. Vágner Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geovanni Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. A collision led to Shelter getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Geovanni Trancoso hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Patrick de Amorim notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Shelter's Deng Yang Ping. Deng Yang Ping was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ricardo Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustavo Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes Shelter got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Tasso. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Ricardo Guimarães got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rui Campidelis was the one to do the kick off. Deng Yang Ping showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute Patrick de Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Deng Yang Ping saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Shelter's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Guimarães came free, but Deng Yang Ping reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Desengano were awarded a corner. Leopoldo Maranhense went to the cornerflag to take it. Desengano's Leopoldo Maranhense was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Deng Yang Ping in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Desengano's zone, Rui Campidelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitinho Paraíba came out of the goal and Rui Campidelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vágner Araújo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vitinho Paraíba having to make a save. Sydney Galvão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Deng Yang Ping tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovanni Trancoso lost his temper 70 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 71st minute, Geovanni Trancoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giuseppe Carioca hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Rui Campidelis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shelter's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Campidelis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitinho Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute Vágner Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitinho Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Desengano's Ricardo Guimarães got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Patrick de Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Desengano fans cheered their team off the field, for while Shelter had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
