Gernando Falcão was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alfredo Castro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aparecidense AA's goalkeeper Gernando Falcão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Erivaldo Miranda fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
