The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabiano Trevisan got free with Anselmo Penha in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gugu Bertassi struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Anselmo Penha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Alviverde. With a little luck, Mutrapeba's Anselmo Penha got control of the ball when Fabiano Trevisan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabiano Trevisan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnaldo Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráusio da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dráusio da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabiano Trevisan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselmo Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu Bertassi in the 44th minute of play. Anselmo Penha made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Fabiano Trevisan sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Mutrapeba booed when Real Alviverde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 49th minute Dráusio da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gugu Bertassi to make the kick off. Real Alviverde were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Mutrapeba's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dênis Paraibano took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Dênis Paraibano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Anselmo Penha quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Fabiano Trevisan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Anselmo Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Bertassi in the 72nd minute of play forced Mutrapeba's goalkeeper Anselmo Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Trevisan couldn't finish the play. Gugu Bertassi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anselmo Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Trevisan, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Anselmo Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Trevisan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Bertassi in the 95th minute of play forced Mutrapeba's goalkeeper Anselmo Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
