With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinei Silveira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14th minute Renatinho Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Arlindo Albuquerque sped through Foz FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Claudinei Silveira. Gissaras's Arlindo Albuquerque got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nelson Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Clóvis Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Romeu de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gissaras's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeu de Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinei Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cido Paranaense's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Flávio Eger skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Monteiro in the 36th minute of play forced Foz FC's goalkeeper Claudinei Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gissaras's Flávio Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renatinho Damião in the 72nd minute of play. Flávio Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Sá in the 74th minute of play. The supporters of Foz FC booed when Gissaras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arlindo Albuquerque didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cido Paranaense took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flávio Eger. Flávio Eger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Edgar Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Silveira having to interfere. Claudinei Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeu de Souza in the 87th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Oscar Monteiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gissaras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. The Foz FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gissaras were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
