The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Monteiro got free with Hernani de Andrade in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oscar Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the game, Cheltenham Town FSCMZ's Chiquinho Tande nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flávio Eger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. If Oscar Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Cheltenham Town FSCMZ's goalkeeper Hernani de Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Damião. Chiquinho Tande took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flávio Eger. Flávio Eger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romeu de Souza in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hernani de Andrade saved Cheltenham Town FSCMZ from getting behind. With a little luck, Cheltenham Town FSCMZ's Hernani de Andrade got control of the ball when Oscar Monteiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Cheltenham Town FSCMZ could leave the field as winners, despite Gissaras having more of the ball for most of the match.
