When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Eusebio Txurio took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Nico Fontes to make any attempt to save it. 16 minutes into the game, one of CRAC FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Luisão Vianna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nico Fontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Eusebio Txurio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Nico Fontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Flamengo Clube de Regatas's Renatinho Carneiro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gugu Pernambucano in the 42 minute of the game. Eusebio Txurio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Fontes having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Nico Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisão Vianna, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in CRAC FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Flamengo Clube de Regatas. João Francisco Nascimento stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nico Fontes. 3-0. Eusebio Txurio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nico Fontes having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in CRAC FC's zone, Luisão Vianna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nico Fontes came out of the goal and Luisão Vianna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nico Fontes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusebio Txurio went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. When Flamengo Clube de Regatas's Luisão Vianna in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CRAC FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 71st minute, Flamengo Clube de Regatas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Júlio Maranhense fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisão Vianna in the 73rd minute of play forced CRAC FC's goalkeeper Nico Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st play minute Júlio Maranhense came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ivo Melo. 4-1. After 94 played minutes CRAC FC got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Baptista. Ivo Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Veiga in the 96th minute of play.
