But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oséas Baptista couldn't finish the play. After 16 minutes of play, Teotoboys Futebol Clube's Oséas Baptista made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Foz FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Oséas Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Silveira having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Renatinho Damião made a kick off. Foz FC's Renatinho Damião got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 55 minutes, Geovanni Rosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Teotoboys Futebol Clube and the Foz FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Teotoboys Futebol Clube's Geovanni Rosa got a free kick in the 55th minute. But to his dismay, Paulo Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 77 minutes into the match, Teotoboys Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Cido Paranaense came free, but Pedrinho Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Renatinho Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renatinho Damião in the 80th minute of play forced Teotoboys Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Pedrinho Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Jailson Freitas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Foz FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Teotoboys Futebol Clube the free kick. The supporters of Teotoboys Futebol Clube booed when Foz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jailson Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Oséas Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 85 minutes, Cido Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Foz FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cido Paranaense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Teotoboys Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Pedrinho Pereira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedrinho Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renatinho Damião in the 92nd minute of play. If Cido Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedrinho Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cido Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Foz FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Teotoboys Futebol Clube for a fine match.
