Richard de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cido Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos Toledo having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, Teta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard de Medeiros in the 28th minute of play forced Foz FC's goalkeeper Claudinei Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinei Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Richard de Medeiros was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Teta FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Joélson Duarte hit a great ball. When Egídio Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Teta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egídio Nascimento couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jailson Freitas during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Teta FC booed when Foz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jailson Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Foz FC's Claudinei Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio Nascimento in the 59th minute of play. Richard de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Claudinei Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clóvis Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Richard de Medeiros struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Claudinei Silveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Teta FC. Jarbas Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Foz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Richard de Medeiros came free, but Claudinei Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egídio Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 88 played minutes Foz FC got a freekick which was hit by Jailson Freitas. After having played for 89 minutes, Egídio Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Teta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egídio Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Richard de Medeiros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinei Silveira. Foz FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Richard de Medeiros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Teta FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
