In the 8th minute Diego Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Cristóvão Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.E.F.P.MORATUS's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristóvão Pirani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guto Meira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Edgar Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Pirani in the 20th minute of play forced So Canela's goalkeeper Guto Meira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Denílson Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, Diego Godoi made a precise shot to the right of José Paulo de Moraes. A.E.F.P.MORATUS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The supporters of A.E.F.P.MORATUS booed when So Canela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodriguinho Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Edgar Vander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.E.F.P.MORATUS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Vander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristóvão Pirani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Guto Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Diego Godoi made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in So Canela's zone, Cristóvão Pirani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guto Meira came out of the goal and Cristóvão Pirani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 53 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Pirani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.E.F.P.MORATUS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave So Canela the free kick. After 53 played minutes A.E.F.P.MORATUS got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão Pirani. In the 58th play minute Edgar Vander came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Guto Meira. 2-1. Serginho Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Paulo de Moraes having to interfere. After having played for 68 minutes, Diego Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. So Canela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute, So Canela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edgar Vander fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 2-2 became the score in the 75th minute when Cristóvão Pirani elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Cristóvão Pirani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Sérgio Aguiar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The So Canela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
