Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ronaldão Rossi got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Didi Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Horizontina's supporters rose to their feet, but Didi Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Penha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roger Teles showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 8 played minutes Horizontina got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Gaspar. 14 minutes into the match, André Luiz Machado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roger Teles. Horizontina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Luiz Machado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 81 minutes of play, Horizontina's Ronaldão Rossi made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafael Penha was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Didi Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Horizontina had won after a very even match.
