Bebeto Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Saraiva having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, DragonIce's goalkeeper Jarbas Loyola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto de Castro. In the 10th minute, Afonso Camargo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bebeto Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Gilberto Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bebeto Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. RAMPANELLAS FC's Gilberto Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavinho Britto in the 18th minute of play. After 25 minutes of play, RAMPANELLAS FC's Augusto de Castro made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jarbas Loyola was left in no man's land by his defense there! DragonIce's Jarbas Loyola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save DragonIce from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in RAMPANELLAS FC's zone, Bebeto Teles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Saraiva came out of the goal and Bebeto Teles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Flavinho Britto made the kick off in the second half. Bebeto Teles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilberto Saraiva having to make a save. Haroldo Vergílio hit a great ball. Bebeto Teles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Saraiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Jarbas Loyola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
