An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Sampaio in the 36th minute of play forced RAMPANELLAS FC's goalkeeper Gilberto Saraiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Nilson Bertassi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marinopolis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After some careless play in the Marinopolis defense, Augusto de Castro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexsandro Massa. The Marinopolis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexsandro Massa should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When Eliseu Sampaio came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Marinopolis fans jumped to their feet. RAMPANELLAS FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marinopolis the free kick. The supporters of Marinopolis booed when RAMPANELLAS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexsandro Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Correia, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Marinopolis players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for RAMPANELLAS FC.
