Caetano do Nascimento was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a little luck, Trumpho's Rafael Penha got control of the ball when Bebeto Teles tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Edson Ortiz fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trumpho's protests and gave Edson Ortiz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Edson Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute of the match DragonIce got a corner. Trumpho's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Angelo Sergipano ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience was convinced that André Cabral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarbas Loyola was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. André Luiz Machado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jarbas Loyola having to make a save. André Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Camargo kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, André Luiz Machado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trumpho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DragonIce the free kick. In the 42nd minute, André Luiz Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trumpho's Rafael Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavinho Britto in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Flavinho Britto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. DragonIce's Jarbas Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Luiz Machado in the 52nd minute of play. Rafael Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Quadros in the 55th minute of the match. André Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Loyola having to interfere. In the 60thth minute of the game André Luiz Machado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DragonIce's Jarbas Loyola was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 67th minute of the match Caetano do Nascimento shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jarbas Loyola showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Wilson Linares charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilson Linares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 70 minutes into the game, one of Trumpho:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave DragonIce a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Angelo Sergipano, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Trumpho's Rafael Penha. 1-0. André Luiz Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Jarbas Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If André Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The DragonIce fans cheered their team off the field, for while Trumpho had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
