Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Carlos Alberto Siqueira took the kick off in the first half of the match. Dráusio Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo das Neves having to interfere. After 7 minutes, Matías Paes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Expressinho-ES F.C and the Peripiri players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 7 played minutes Expressinho-ES F.C got a freekick which was hit by Matías Paes. In the 9th minute Guga Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Peripiri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Roberto de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. After 12 played minutes Expressinho-ES F.C got a freekick which was hit by Matías Paes. Alfredão de Queiroz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Alberto Siqueira in the 17th minute. Paulinho Simões struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Alfredão de Queiroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peripiri. 22 minutes into the match, Expressinho-ES F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alberto Siqueira came free, but Alfredão de Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Expressinho-ES F.C's Matías Paes got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Siqueira lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Alfredão de Queiroz. With a little luck, Expressinho-ES F.C's Alfredão de Queiroz got control of the ball when Carlos Alberto Siqueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Paulinho Simões fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peripiri's protests and gave Paulinho Simões a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes Peripiri got a freekick which was hit by Paulinho Simões. Eriberto Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes Peripiri got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto Siqueira. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guga Vander made a kick off. Cássio Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredão de Queiroz having to interfere. A collision led to Expressinho-ES F.C getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Bernardinho Lira hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Expressinho-ES F.C defense, Zé Roberto de Sousa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfredão de Queiroz. The Expressinho-ES F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfredão de Queiroz should have stopped the shot. Matías Paes hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. André Luiz Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdo das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guga Vander in the 75th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Peripiri's Paulinho Simões got a free kick in the 77th minute. A hard shot by Matías Paes from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got Valdo das Neves's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 90thth minute of the game Carlos Alberto Siqueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Expressinho-ES F.C's Alfredão de Queiroz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zé Roberto de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Carlos Alberto Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee ended the match the Peripiri players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
