Kiko Cardozo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Laércio da Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. Espiters F.C's Gerson Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio da Fonseca in the 51st minute of play. After 54 played minutes Batel D Guarapuava Clube got a freekick which was hit by Edinho Leme. Dudu Pitta's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kiko Cardozo firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 59th minute of the match Armandinho Oliveira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gerson Neto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luiz Eduardo das Neves charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 92nd minute, Natanael Prestes made a precise shot to the right of Gerson Neto. Espiters F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Dudu Pitta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Kiko Cardozo made a huge save. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
