In the 12th minute Bernardinho Lira suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 12 minutes, Cristóvão Nóbrega mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oratorio FC and the Expressinho-ES F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th match minute, Oratorio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Guga Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luisão Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luiz Tavares in the 20th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Oratorio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guga Vander came free, but Luisão Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Expressinho-ES F.C's Guga Vander sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luisão Aguiar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guga Vander struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Luisão Aguiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Expressinho-ES F.C. Alfredão de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duda Zanette in the 45th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Duda Zanette made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guga Vander in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisão Aguiar saved Oratorio FC from getting behind. If Dráusio Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dráusio Branco's late challenge caught a Oratorio FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dráusio Branco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th minute of the match, Duda Zanette tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alfredão de Queiroz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Duda Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd match minute, Oratorio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, André Luiz Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Expressinho-ES F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but André Luiz Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisão Aguiar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristóvão Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute.
