After 13 minutes of play, Peripiri's Zé Roberto de Sousa made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerson Neto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st minute, Guilherme Peixoto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gerson Neto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 24th minute Carlos Alberto Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peripiri's Guilherme Peixoto got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Zé Roberto de Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peripiri's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Roberto de Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerson Neto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the match, Peripiri's Carlos Alberto Siqueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerson Neto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gerson Neto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Alberto Siqueira's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Zé Roberto de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerson Neto having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Peripiri's Zé Roberto de Sousa got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The wind increased when Luiz Eduardo das Neves made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Paulinho Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Espiters F.C's Gerson Neto got control of the ball when Carlos Alberto Siqueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Carlos Alberto Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Espiters F.C's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Guilherme Peixoto 64 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. After a rather tough play, Peripiri's Zé Roberto de Sousa got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Luiz Eduardo das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute.
