Spectators: 6656 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hélder Hoffmann kicked off to start the match. Cuipiranga's Doriva Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Hoffmann in the 3rd minute of play. João Augusto Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Doriva Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doriva Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Quirino in the 7th minute of the match. Hélder Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doriva Sá having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Hélder Hoffmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Hélder Hoffmann notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cuipiranga's Doriva Sá. Doriva Sá was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 15 minutes into the match, Expresso Antares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amauri Ferraz came free, but Amílton Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Ferraz in the 19th minute of play forced Expresso Antares FC's goalkeeper Amílton Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When João Augusto Negri fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Expresso Antares FC's protests and gave João Augusto Negri a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Expresso Antares FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. João Augusto Negri hit a great ball. The supporters of Expresso Antares FC booed when Cuipiranga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franklin Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luizão Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doriva Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Hélder Hoffmann took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Doriva Sá. Doriva Sá dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Cuipiranga's Caetano Ferraz got a free kick in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, Expresso Antares FC's Víktor Dante got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 42 minutes, Hélder Hoffmann made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Cuipiranga's Doriva Sá tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 48th minute, Luizão Bezerra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doriva Sá was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After the first half Expresso Antares FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caetano Ferraz was the one to do the kick off. After 58 played minutes Cuipiranga got a freekick which was hit by Amauri Ferraz. Hélder Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Charles Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cuipiranga's zone, Hélder Hoffmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doriva Sá came out of the goal and Hélder Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hélder Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Luizão Bezerra fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 74th minute João Augusto Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Doriva Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Cuipiranga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edu Cruz to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Expresso Antares FC's Álvaro Quirino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Doriva Sá. Doriva Sá yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. With his leg Doriva Sá managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when Expresso Antares FC's Hélder Hoffmann fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Doriva Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Hoffmann in the 93rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, João Augusto Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Expresso Antares FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Augusto Negri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doriva Sá breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Expresso Antares FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cuipiranga throughout the match.
