The referee ignored Oimerguez FC's protests and gave Mauro Galvão a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd match minute, Oimerguez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Galvão to maneuver through the defense. Ema's José Pedro Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir Lira in the 27th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandre Valle during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th minute, Alexandre Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute of the match David de Salles shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Pedro Toledo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. José Pedro Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldir Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Oimerguez FC's David de Salles couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ema. A collision led to Ema getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Romeu Trigo hit a great ball. José Pedro Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdo Trevisan might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Telmo Dias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdo Trevisan ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Ema's Valdo Trevisan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Telmo Dias. That made the score 1-1 after 39 minutes of play. Alexandre Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabriel da Cunha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Telmo Dias when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 47 minutes of play, Ema's Gabriel da Cunha made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Telmo Dias was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Waldir Lira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Gabriel da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ema's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel da Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Telmo Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gabriel da Cunha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Telmo Dias having to make a save. In the 79th minute, Gabriel da Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Romeu Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ema's zone, Waldir Lira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Pedro Toledo came out of the goal and Waldir Lira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Trevisan in the 87th minute of play forced Oimerguez FC's goalkeeper Telmo Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ema's Valdo Trevisan in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oimerguez FC's goalie prevented a goal. Antônio Melo struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. José Pedro Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oimerguez FC. Oimerguez FC's Telmo Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel da Cunha in the 95th minute of play. Valdo Trevisan scored 3-1 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Telmo Dias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There was no doubt that Ema were the better team. Ema's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
