Sérgio de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Evaristo Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Abadia's zone, Marcelo Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Donatello came out of the goal and Marcelo Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Sérgio de Salles made the kick off in the second half. Evaristo Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio de Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 57th match minute, Abadia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio de Salles to maneuver through the defense. G5 FUTEBOL CLUBE's Magno Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70thth minute of the game Marcelo Zanette who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abadia's Daniel Donatello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
