Rafael Almeida was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 36th minute, Grêmio's Wágner Matos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rafael Almeida. Rafael Almeida yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. Benicio Hustazs short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Rafael Almeida to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benicio Hustaz to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Bruno Peres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sonifarma F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio the free kick. Wágner Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Linus Stålman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Almeida having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Sonifarma F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Wágner Matos came free, but Rafael Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conrado Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dito Gerber in the 64th minute of the match. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sonifarma F.C's goalkeeper Rafael Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wágner Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benicio Hustaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Almeida having to interfere. Rafael Almeida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wágner Matos went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. Linus Stålman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Almeida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. When Nestor Ortiz came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Grêmio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nestor Ortiz couldn't finish the play. Rafael Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Linus Stålman in the 90th minute of the match. If Linus Stålman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Grêmio were the better team. Grêmio's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
