The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Flávio Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Pedro Rodrigues was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zé Pedro Rodrigues came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Fenerbatman's Luiz Fábio Quintal. But to his dismay, Luiz Fábio Quintal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Fabrício Paulista charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabrício Paulista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute Dráuzio Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Marinho in the 22nd minute of play forced Fenerbatman's goalkeeper Flávio Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Fenerbatman getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Adilson Pena hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Fenerbatman's Adilson Pena got a free kick in the 26th minute. After having played for 28 minutes, Adilson Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fenerbatman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adilson Pena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Universo Isca SC's zone, Luiz Fábio Quintal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Pedro Rodrigues came out of the goal and Luiz Fábio Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Fábio Quintal made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 38thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Zé Pedro Rodrigues would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Zé Pedro Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Carlos Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After 47 played minutes Universo Isca SC got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Paulista. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dráuzio Barreto made the kick off in the second half. Flávio Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráuzio Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Luiz Fábio Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fenerbatman's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Fábio Quintal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Pedro Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zé Pedro Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Carlos Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. When Fenerbatman's Luiz Fábio Quintal in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Universo Isca SC's goalie prevented a goal. If Dráuzio Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 minutes of play, Universo Isca SC's Daniel Marinho made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flávio Vaz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 70 minutes, Luiz Fábio Quintal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fenerbatman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fábio Quintal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Marinho took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flávio Vaz. Flávio Vaz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 81st minute Luiz Fábio Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Pedro Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fenerbatman's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Pedro Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olívio Mesquita during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Fenerbatman booed when Universo Isca SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olívio Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fábio Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro Rodrigues having to interfere. The Universo Isca SC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Fenerbatman from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
