Clandestino FC's José Augusto Figueiredo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Suico. Paulo Renato Vasconcelos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the game, one of Suico:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ademar Falcão went to the wrong direction when José Augusto Figueiredo was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 36th match minute, Suico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Róbson Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Belmiro Lopes in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ademar Falcão saved Suico from getting behind. 39 minutes into the match, Clandestino FC's Belmiro Lopes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ademar Falcão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ademar Falcão was a little too slow when Belmiro Lopes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 1-1. Ademar Falcão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Lopes in the 47th minute of play. Cristiano de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademar Falcão having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aílton Félix was the one to do the kick off. When Antônio de Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Suico's protests and gave Antônio de Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Suico's zone, Cristiano de Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ademar Falcão came out of the goal and Cristiano de Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Perivaldo Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Félix in the 70th minute of play. Davi Linares hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute Suico were awarded a corner. Luiz Gustavo Garcia went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Luiz Gustavo Garcia almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Clandestino FC's Perivaldo Velloso did a great save. Aílton Félix might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Perivaldo Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aílton Félix ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aílton Félix in the 85th minute of play forced Clandestino FC's goalkeeper Perivaldo Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
