In the 34th minute, Aníbal Ramalho fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Perivaldo Velloso, passed just outside the right post. If Conrado Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Pedro Prado hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Arsenal FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. José Augusto Figueiredo was slow to take the kick. During this time Clandestino FC's players had a chance to rest. Clandestino FC's José Augusto Figueiredo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fabiano Tróia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 45th minute, Cristiano de Brito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabiano Tróia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1.

The wind increased when Belmiro Lopes made the kick off in the second half. Claudinho Sousa took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Perivaldo Velloso. Perivaldo Velloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Aníbal Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Belmiro Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clandestino FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Belmiro Lopes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabiano Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aníbal Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Perivaldo Velloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Arsenal FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Clandestino FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
